is time warner deal something new? last I heard they were bought by Comcast several months ago..im in a small area where time warner is the only cable company other than direct tv and dish so interests me more what they will do

I really only want the SEC network for the opening Thursday. will they be offering good games besides mismatches and bad teams playing each other?

Reports are that the SEC is close to deals with both Direct TV and Comcast and we should see deals announced by the first of August. The only real player that is pretty quiet is Timewarner and Fox has just made an offer for them so it could become interesting.

Note TW bd has said no to Fox but that doesn't mean the negotiation is over.

There will be weeks where there will be a premiere game and a side game I'm sure. Rivalry week will be big.

Got a tweet that says Comcast is a done deal the SEC Network just has to lock down Direct TV and they will have met their goal of 75 million subscribers even without Time Warner.

To put that into perspective the B1G launched with 20 million subscribers but it should be noted conference networks were unproven at that time.

Damn well better. I have the big10 network, so if I don't get the SEC network I'll take my $200 cable bill to satelite and just keep cable for internet I guess.

I've got Bright House, they buy through Time-Warner...they better get their shit together before September or Direct TV will be in my yard come football season.
