I think Vandy/Stanford would be a great game.

Ever since Mason left Stanford to become HC @ Vandy he has been trying to schedule a H-H with Stanford. The sticking point is Stanford requires the H-H to occur within a short time frame. Since Stanford has never played an SEC time in the reg season(I do not count the 1970 game with Arkansas as the were part of the SWC at that time) all Stanford fans hope this happens. Only have played SEC teams four times, all bowl games. Last time was the 1977 Bluebonnet bowl vs Georgia. Here is the complete list of games :

1927 Rose Bowl vs Bama Result tie game Both schools claim 1926 NC
1935 Rose Bowl vs Bama Result Bama won easily
1976 Alamo Bowl vs LSU Result Stanford won
1977 Bluebonnet Bowl vs Georgia Result Stanford won

Because the SEC and Stanford have not played in 37 years here's hoping that we meet in the playoffs this January.

I know our schedule sucks but what's wrong with trying to play Stanford? This is a great invite to the SEC schedule bashers.

Bash away nothing I do or don't do is going to change it 90% of the non-SEC posters are convinced we all cheat, over sign and have weak schedules. If it makes them feel better about their own programs and conferences so be it.
