700,000+ people doesn't even fully tell the tale either. All routes into the city were completely plugged by 11am. Trains, buses, light rail, ferries, and roadways were all jammed. The city was unprepared for the fanfare that hit the city and had they been, I think we would have seen at least 100,000 more

Great Way to spend the day. Froze my nips and my toes off but it was oh so worth it.

Yeah plus the 700k didn't include the 50k in Clink or 25-30k in Safeco. Also what you mentioned, many people couldn't even get into the city. Or just stayed home because there was no way they were going to make it in. (Our Mass Transit wasn't ready)

Not to brag, but Chicago had 2 million in the streets when our Hawks won.

Population Seattle, 500,000. 600,000+ showed up. Over 100%.
Population Chicago, ~3M, 2M or 66% showed up.
