If all the #Saints want for Sean Payton is a second-rounder, that's a no-brainer. Make the trade and make it now.

tbh, I thought it would cost at minimum a 1st round in 2016. It would be difficult to pass up the opportunity but would also hate to lose a 2nd round pick................ wait a minute this organization has failed miserably with 2nd round picks as a whole (minus Slay)

and then you find the following...

CEO Mara won't rule out trading for coach - Rotoworld.com:
Giants CEO John Mara would not rule out trading a draft pick for a coach.

Mara is almost certainly referring to Sean Payton, who reportedly can be had for a second-round pick. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported Monday Payton was "monitoring the situation" in New York, which means he is likely interested in the job now that Tom Coughlin has resigned. Several other teams are rumored to be interested as well.

If the possibility even existed that Payton could become HC, I would seriously consider requesting that JBC=OC

I would wait to see what happens with Austin. If he leaves, I'd prefer a defensive mind. Cooter's got the offense.

may see a 19 year employee of that same organization as next GM, therefore, the trend might possibly continue.

I have hope Blue. I'm being aggressively optimistic. I won't judge White until after two drafts and FA periods. Mayhew sucked, but was not on same planet as what Millen did. I can bitch about any move, but in the end, I accept it. Not in my control.

Maybe White sucks less than Mayhew and by 2031 when they hire the sixth in line to the GM throne. The suckiness has run its course.

Rather have Coughlin. The Saints were IMO fueled by prime Brees. Peyton could be another Caldwell, a product of his HOF QB.

I would not complain, but I would rather have the second round pick. No sense handicapping the new GM.
