Resigning Blount would be a good idea if it can be done at a reasonable cost and by reasonable I mean a lot more then he played for last year. He had a career year and their are no other power RB on the Pats roster. Seems like both the player and team would want to come to a agreement.
I agree but I don't see him getting a "lot" more from NE. He's been labeled a system RB. Just turned 30, granted he has low mileage. He seems to be very happy in NE. Another cast off that found a niche in a BB scheme. I hope he gets paid we'll just have to see? Slightly more salary with incentives might work for both parties?

Didn't he play for the veteran minimum last year? Surely you can't expect him to sign for that again.

I think he got 1 million with some minor bonuses of 500k or something. Naturally he gets the additional playoff winnings. Not sure what ads/sponsors he has? But those come with winning. I'm not sure what tge going rate is for a 30 y/o power RB?
To answer you, no he should get more then last season. I just don't know what BBs threshold is. Nor do I know how much LG will ask for?

I'd like to see more of Collins. Hopefully Rawls/Prosise heal fast.

Anyway, as for Collins we got him in the 5th but he honestly should've gone in the 3rd. He was a great back in college.

id like to see us take a RB, its a very deep draft.

joe mixon would be a good pick in the later rounds, has a ton of talent but the off field problems will make him drop like a rock.

Ryan Clady was cut. He is recovering from a torn rotator cuff but could be worth a look if the price is right. He is only 30 years old and would bring quality experience and starting/pro bowl caliber talent to a position we much desperately need to fill.

A torn rotator cuff is a pretty serious injury for an OL player.

He isn't pro-bowl caliber anymore, but he certainly would be an upgrade over what we had this last year.

Though signing Clady means we're likely getting at least 4-6 games of Fant back at LT when Clady gets hurt.

Yah. Clady hasn't even played 2 full seasons in the last 4. Wilson will get killed anyway when Fant or whoever has to come in and sub for Clady's next injury... so might as well have a lesser talent just play the position to hopefully get continuity and experience. Clady is done IMO.

I think Andre Smith is worth a look for a RT replacement. He played great for the Bengals and if Carroll/Seattle can motivate him, he might be decent. Decent road grader in run blocking at least.

If we can give him a 1-2 year prove it contract we might get a little decent mileage with his last FA push.... and he had to know going to Minnesota that was a lost cause. Maybe with Seattle (like Cincy) who was a competitive team he'll get motivated.

Meanwhile James Carpenter dominated at LG according to PFF and was one of the better guards in the league. Sometimes Seattle just... blows me away.

The OT market is a waste land of crappy vets and guys that are constantly injured.

I am guessing that someone will be desperate enough to throw pretty big money at Okung. Some teams have huge amounts of cap room.

............but I made a similar assumption last year also.

I dont think okung goes for more than 8 like john clayton has been saying. He had a one year prove it deal and didnt prove it, so i dont see any team dropping 12m on him.
