2 teams with average to bad offenses. The reality is Green Bay was 4-2 andplaying well when they came to Atlanta and lost. Just as you were 3-1 and playing well when you played Dallas and lost.

It was amazing the Packers shitty defense could hold that great Atlanta offense to only 32 points as great as you make then sound. That 1 point come from behind victory against a Packer team with running backs Don Jackson and Knile Davis and corner backs Goodson, Gunter and Brice the #4,5,6 corners. The Falcons were lucky to pull that game out as powerful as they are against a team with no running backs and the 4,5,6 corner backs.

I guess in GB surrendering 32 points is considered holding a team:noidea:

It was 33 and Atlanta scored onb7 of their 11 possessions. Green Bay scored on 5 of their 12. You guys were fortunate in that 4 of the 7 scores were field goals. Statistically that's an anomaly for Atlanta. With your losses on D I'd imagine Atlanta would likely score more in the next game. Probably 42-45 points. That's based solely on the last game, your weaker secondary and the likelihood that Atlanta would not replicate their offensive deficiencies from the last game

Also the perceived improvement to the Packers D directly correlates to a 7 game stretch where they've played exactly 0 teams rated in the top 10 offensively. Factually speaking the D has given up 123 points in their last 6 games. Prior to coming into Atlanta the first time the Pack D had given up 122 points in 6 games. To be blunt the D still sucks, you've simply played abysmal offenses. In their limited action this year vs top 10 caliber offenses the Pack has got lit the fuck up as they will on Sunday by Dallas

but didn't they hang 35+ on 3 teams ranked in the top 10 defensively

I think most level headed Packers fans would agree that their defense is still very suspect but anyone that thinks their offense is the same as it was through weeks 1-11 is quite delusional

The Pack 4 game losing streak earlier this year was Atlanta, Tennessee, Indy and Washington. Does anyone here know what ALL those teams have in common?? They all rank in the top 10 offensively ( as does Dallas ) in those 4 games vs 4 of the only 5 teams they played all year with legit offenses the Pack gave 41 ppg... yeah. The D isn't better boys. Sorry. Everyone D looks better playing Houston, Minnesota, Chicago, Detroit and the Giants

In the Packers case it was for that 4 game losing streak. Hard to say how the great Patriots would do if you sat your top 3 corners for 4 games.

You must not follow football much. Many people are aware that for a 4 to 6 week period the Packer defense was playing with the #4,5,6 corner backs and in that 4 game losing streak when those injuries where there yes 32 points was one of the best games. Falcons 32, Colts 31, Titans 47, Redskins 42 a 38 point average

Once injured secondary came back they actually started to win and that was like 7 games ago now the points against have been 13,13,10,27,25,24,13 for an average of 17.85 points against per game.

So there has been a 20 point per game improvement when the defense has been more healthy than back in that 4 game stretch when they had to use the #4,5,6 corner backs as starters.

So you are suggesting that the Packer secondary is weaker now than back when they payed the Falcons the earlier in the season? Just need to clear that up?

It's the playoffs and it's Atlanta. No shit talking needed. Seattle can just step back and watch Atlanta fall all over themselves.

Well I don't really know. You've played exactly zero offenses equipped to prove that but attrition would suggest so unless you're conclusion is the coaching staff is so inept that they were simply playing the wrong guys the first 10 weeks and only by fortune of injury did they become forced to play the better players.

Matt Ryan is 1-4 in the playoffs. 0-4 vs everyone not named Russell Wilson and Seattle

Easy LL, I wasn't the one defending 32 points should be considered holding a team.
Stop with injury excuse please. Every team has them. Some years it's worse than others.
This argument has been beat to death on these boards is it an excuse or a reason. It's a reason when it's your team.
Or we can go down the totally subjective roll of what injured player is more important to who? Or while x player was injured they played weak teams...it goes on and on.
Suck it up buttercup, you're usually better than this.
