You got it backwards. Seahawks can light up the scoreboard with their offense, like they did against the Pats or they can stop the Falcons on offense like they did last time until Bennett got hurt. The Falcons on the other hand MUST remain red hot and that doesn't assure them of a win. I'm not impressed with the Falcons putting up big scores on teams like the Saints, 49er, Panthers and Rams.
When your idea of lighting someone up is 31 points you've established you're not aware of what the term means, lol

Sure, with 6 TOs from Seattle. Let's not act like that wasn't some sort of extreme outlier type game. But yeah, if Seattle turns it over 6 times tomorrow, there's a really good chance Atlanta can put up 38+.

Only 2 of the Seattle TO's ended up as points for the Pack which they still had to score offensive TD's.

When your idea of lighting someone up is 27 points you've established you're not aware of what the term means, lol

 I know the Falcons defense gives up a average of 25.4 per game, so I'm sure you consider that a low score, but the Pats only give up 15 per game, so 27 is pretty good. It's all relevant to the opponent. Pretty sure the Seahawks could put up 40 on the Falcons if they needed to, but they won't. They will run the ball, control the clock, score and hold the Falcon offense down.

The offense has had the most difficulty against DLs with a dominant player. Miami, Arizona, LA are probably the best examples. Only 10 pts at GB but that was with 6 TOs, which is incredibly unlikely to happen again. Atlanta doesn't have a dominant DL player. Seattle offense moved the ball and scored on them earlier in the season, and that was with RW only 3 weeks into his knee injury recovery....and no Rawls or Prosise. NE had the #1 scoring D in the league this year, and Hawks put up 31 on them in their house.
Bottomline, if the Hawks can run the ball (125 yards+) and control the TOP, then they will win. But that could go the other way around too. TOP will be a key factor in this game.

Now you're talking shit! I like it. At least one of you guys thinks you can win without Atlanta choking. Kudos to you sir

That will be the key to a Hawk's win.
Time of possession is irrelevant to Atlanta honestly. They're like 19th in the league this year. When you only take 90 seconds to score A TD that'll happen

I bet the Falcons defense will beg to disagree that TOP is irrelevant.

No one cares what they say. Lol. Their job is to hold teams to 3 or 4 punts and a few field goals. If they give up 3 TD'S along with that it'll be fine. 24-27 points for Seattle isn't going to cut it. Like I said the Atlanta D is in the enviable position if just needing to not be terrible. If they do their average performance it'll be more than enough

a) Doubt they can do their average performance against the Seahawks.
b) Even if they did, the Falcons will still lose. Matty is going to need some ice after this game. Seahawks are going to bring the wood.

Good point, but I was talking about the Seahawk's offense, if they can run the ball against the Falcons then they will keep the Falcon's offense off the field.

Seattle's offense is pedestrian at best. We shall see

Eh realistically even the best time of possession teams keep the ball for 32 or 33 minutes. Both teams will likely have 11 or 12 possessions either way

Offensive juggernauts have struggled at times vs the Seahawks D.

peyt_2811144b.jpg

Pretty small sample size, but as they say, 'D' travels in the playoffs.

If the 13 Seahawks D shows up in a time machine we will have a different debate
