Before I begin I am just throwing shit out here. The trade won't happen. What would it take to get Braden's older brother Luke here? I think it would be awesome to see these guys play together. I know Toronto would never deal him unless it was for a Stamkos. Just wanted to hear your thoughts?

He's a shutdown Dman, numerous people keep saying that he will eventually be the captain of the Maple Leafs.

I'd say it would take Couturier, Carle, and maybe a pick.

Considering they were afraid to offer him straight up for Stamkos, I'd say our ability to acquire would be, umm, non-existant.

He would cost around a Giroux or a JvR. He is a young proven stud and would require that in return.

It would probably take something like Carle, Simmonds/Vorachek and a 1st. If it was a 1 for 1 trade I doubt it would happen since Burke seems to grossly over value Schenn(Luke). Since he said he seemed to think Schenn for Stamkos straight up was fair. I'm sure Yzerman was quick to correct him on that.

There is a difference between trading for Stamkos and trading for Stamkos with an expired contract.

I completely agree, but in either case Stamkos is worth more then Schenn even as a RFA, anyway Schenn also has no contract currently. I think if Toronto was to get Stamkos it would take something likie Schenn, Kadri and a 1st or Schenn and Kessel.

Burke does grossly over value his own players though, he always has. I'm willing to bet next year he throws and offer sheet at JVR cause he has hard on for him and has since he was building team USA.

i'm not sure that's the case.. giroux, briere, schenn, couturier, talbot, and betts are (fingers crossed for schenn and couturier making the team) NHL centers

Luke is a solid young Dman and I see him being a top 3 dman on a team

Brayden has a higher ceiling and will be the better player.

Trading Cotourier for him would be the worse trade in Flyers history
This kid is going to be a superstar mark my words.

A "fair" trade for Luke Schenn would see the Flyers sending Carle and a 1st to Toronto. I know a lot of people will disagree but Toronto has 3-4 stay at home D-men, they need someone who can make plays from the blue line. Carle is a much better player then people give him credit for, but he is still prone to making bad plays but he is working towards being a #3 guy.

Luke definitely looks to be the better defensive player, but he lacks any kind of offensive punch and it seems that it seems Toronto is missing with their current mix.
