i just dont understand i really would've loved to be sitting in the meeting with the nhl when they said

lets figure out the names of the divisions. i got it we will keep it simple and just use the old names except we will change one to metropolitan. did anyone even for 1 second think it was smart? not stupid? and would be met without criticism?

this whole mess is because pitt shouldnt be our division. columbus and pitt should be in the "north east" tampa and florida should be in the "atlantic"


i guess they couldnt keep the name "north east" and have 2 teams from florida stuck in it

I wonder how the goalies will look starting wise in the first two games though considering its a back to back (already!)..hard to see Marty not starting a season opener or a home opener but obviously Schneider is gonna play one of those games.

Two things to say about that..thank god we traded for Schneider. And why does that not surprise me?


On a brighter note , did anyone see the Rags starting schedule? Because of the MSG repairs they have probably the toughest start of anyone in the league. So cheers to that.

the rangers schedule is really weird. yeah they have 9 on the road to open but its weird cause they have multiple stretches of home/road stands. like 8 of 9 at home. then 5 of 6 on the road 4 of 5 at home. really weird

The reason the Devils are the home team at Yankee stadium is because the Rangers have an agreement in their contract with MSG that says they cannot be the home team anywhere else but the garden.
Against the Isles, they will also be the road team.

Kovy gone, and now this schedule. Devils aren't getting any breaks. Most back to backs in league, plus a brutal October road trip to start things out.

i kinda dont mind the back to backs. i think this team got it way too easy with pdb and his "no practice" mentality. i dont remember how many times last year the team even after a bad loss wasnt out on the ice. time to crack the whip on them no more country club
