I have been to Jerry World a number of times and it is a great stadium from the standpoint of spectators. I am sure there are bad seats in the house, but mostly there are a lot of good vantage points.

But yes, the decision to open the dome always creates these weird sun issues. I think Dallas sees it as a homefield advantage like the Boston Celtics old parquet floors because the home players know more about it, but it catches them too. They did this with their last stadium as well.

Are there other fields in the NFL with an east-west configuration or are all others north-south (or at least not east-west)?

I’m still wondering why Dak ran that ball ??? I figured for sure Dallas would have taken at least 2 maybe 3 shots at the end zone …

He saw the completely open middle of the field and couldn’t resist. The no-sidelines defense is rare and can be confusing to an offense.

That I don't know. Maybe Pete called and told them, " You know something, if I ran the ball we probably win the SB".

I highly doubt that’s what happened

Man, even if he got the ball back to the ref in time, that gave Dallas 1 more shot at the end zone.. 3 shots would have been better.. But like you said all the real state made him react …

It isn’t an excuse. Dark should have known the situation and not run it. There is literally almost no benefit with every single possible cost for the choice he made.

It was a HORRIBLE decision on his part.
