I do think they are the best franchise if talking the NFC , yep, historically speaking, they are 5-2 in SB's, and have a bevy of great players on a par with anyone....

Joe Montana
Jerry Rice
Ronnie Lott
Steve Young

As a Mount Rushmore, who is superior to that?

Three Hall of Fame QB's, three Hall of Fame running backs, the greatest WR to ever play the game, that's pretty impressive.

What NFC franchsise compares, yep....none!

First team to use the shotgun (NFL), first and only team to have three future Hall of Fame running backs all there together.

" major part of their primary contribution for any one club are listed in bold"

parcells and Gregg aren't in bold chuckles....try to keep up

take the office and coaches out of the bolded names if you want to spin it that way
Dallas 15, SF 14

I'd say Dallas compares pretty darn well and in 14 less years

Sprinning, where? Ya list a bunch of coachs, ha!

The Niners were in a SB how long ago, how about them Cowboys?

How many teams have been in a SB with four different QB;s? Couldn't just be the Niners could it?

Obviously nobody compares to the Patriots, they are the greatest franchise in pro football history, no argument and no debate. Yep, Tom Brady is THE GOAT

So the rest of us are left with who is the second best franchise, why not the Niners? Whoa whoa, no no, that would have to be The Steelers. So how about best third place team but best NFC team the Niners.
