yeah yeah yeah i know everyone wants to "win" and play the best they can. i bet beek the "huckster" is reading this and saying just like me fuck that! i want playoff money! if this team does pass the flyers i will seriously be upset. just like 2 years ago when they went out and won the last game to face the flyers in the 1st round.

i'm not saying the panthers will be a cakewalk but its definately a better matchup then the nhl backed sid show.


btw i had a dream last night the devils made it to the finals against i think the blues....but lost the cup in overtime

if it comes down to them needing to lose saturday it would be funny to see who they start in goal. lol starting moose would be like getting gurantee win. so do you go with the "weaker" marty?

Flyers have a tough game tonight against the Sabres who are playing for their playoff lives. Hopefully the Pens win tonight, lockup the 4 spot and rest their starters Saturday so Philly could get an easy W.

It's also true that tonights game in Washington will go a long way to determining if it is the panthers in the 3rd spot. But I would still rather the caps at 3 then the pens.

This may sound crazy, but the Panthers are probably a tougher out than the Caps. They are a more balanced team in my opinion. You have to worry about the Caps clicking on all cylinders and OV taking games over, but their D is awful and their goaltending is meh at best.

Philly just needs a point and they get the 5 spot (I believe). We will be tied in the season series and they have won more games in regulation.

Yeah i agree the panthers are a better all around team but still its just scary facing ovechkin and the caps get their building rocking at times. Both teams have Meh at best goalies but devils tend to have trouble with those come playoff time. Damion Rhodes and Kevin weekes Brian boucher anyone?

Just the x factor with the panthers are they just happy to make the playoffs? Is that their Stanley cup? Devils panthers would probably be the least talked about series which I'm fine with just dont want the plahers to fall into that trap game thinking.

Also if down 0--2 I want moose starting game 3

I would certainly give 3rd line guys and role players more ice time and maybe give Salvador and/or A-Train a day off to get ready for the playoffs. If we win, so be it, but I think that is the way to go into that game. Let's hope the Flyers get a point tonight and it doesn't come to that.

Washington is scary because they are like a sleeping giant. If guys like Ovechkin and Green wake up finally, that can be a very dangerous team.
Florida will be tough. If the standings finish as we see today, I can see Devils and Panthers going the distance to game 7.

In no way, do I want the Devils to surpass the Flyers and play the Penguins.

Zubrus was an absolute animal against the Wings. The way he pins the puck against the wall and then just shrugs off defenders and he runs time off the clock is a thing of beauty that will wear on defenders over the course of a 7 game series.
