I never said that he played well today. Today he was to blame for the loss. I said over the course of 15 games this season, Drew Brees has played very well this season. The fact that you keep ignoring the 31st ranked defense and continue to blame Brees, tells me all i have to know.

An entire post without a single childish insult. I knew you could do it!

You haven't watched three minutes of Saints football this season. But don't worry, we all think you know what you're talking about.

Hey Hammer what did Brees make THE 32ND LOOK LIKE today?

You've gotta do more than just list numbers. Everyone has access to pro-football-reference.com.

If you're watched many Saints games this year, Brees hasn't been the Brees of the past. He's had costly turnovers in critical moments. His accuracy has been off at times. I know his completion percentage is good, but there's been times where he couldn't hit the broad side of a barn this season, and he's struggled throwing the ball downfield all season. Easy to rack up numbers when you dump the ball off routinely.

Brees isn't the reason for the Saints downfall, but he hasn't helped them much this year.

Exactly. He was swept by the 32nd ranked defense this year. This "his defense is holding him back" excuse doesn't hold water.

Could be that Brees hasn't aged as well as Manning and Brady.

The Falcons have won 6 games this season.

5 of them are against the other NFC South teams. The other is against the current number 1 seed in the NFC, the Arizona Cardinals.

Desean is on Pro-Football-Reference.com right now furiously putting together numbers for a case for Brees being "elite." LOL

His defense actually played well today all things considered.

The Saints scored 14 points. 7 of them were aided by a 99 yard opening kickoff return and a 1 yard TD on the first snap of the game.

So really, the Saints special teams accounted for 7 points. The Drew Brees lead offense could only muster 1 touchdown against the worst defense in the league.

Oh when the Saints, oh when the Saints, oh when the Saints go 6 and 10!

Maybe they'll get a good draft pick.

Oh when the Saints go 6 and 10!

They don't have any money to pay a good draft pick. It's all going toward Brees' contract. All $19,000,000 of it! :L

Saints officially eliminated from the playoffs with Carolina beating Cleveland.

Not quite, if Panthers and the Falcons tie next week and the Saints win, then the Saints would win the South.

Well, wouldn't that be interesting.

I sort of want that to happen now, even though the Falcons are my NFC team. I wanna see a team finish with two ties.

I'm sure playing in the NFC South is what caused their down fall. That's a killer division. Lots of great defenses and such.

The NFC South has the best record in the NFC for ant division since Brees came to the saints. It's actually not even close

Im struggling to remember the last time Brees played on a team with a good defense?

Maybe when he was when he was in San Diego.

If your quarterback passes for over 4600 yards 32 td's on the season which is a down season for him.

Last year?? Lol. Saints were top 4 in defense one whole year ago
