And how many players that were deemed just not good enough in DC go on to do rather well in other places??? Mean while most of the play makers we sign in FA have tanked for the Skins over the last 15 years.

Lets See. Rogers has played in a Super Bowl with his new team. Ryan Clark who we replaced for a play maker, he has done rather well. Brad Johnson wasnt good enough here, he did rather well after he left too.

Now name me the play makers we have brought in that have actually panned out for us. Aside from Garcon I cant think of many, or any actually.

Agreed. And the few players we do come across worth keeping we either lowball, or dont want for some reason. Its a bad cycle, and apparently we arent quite ready to break out of it.

Disagree about low-balling. We have a tendency to overpay everybody.

our young FA, even the ones we overpaid, have made an impact. We haven't had any stability at HC.
offensive and defensive systems change....losing creates a bad atmosphere. Bruce Smith was one of the few old guys that was worth it. I don't see the harm in paying a young ELITE FA who can make the entire team better.
From what I read yesterday we are about to have 30mil even after franchising Orakpo

Trent Green was a mistake. We had just come off of making a QB mistake or two and they got nervous about pulling the trigger on a QB who only had one year of playing under his belt. I think it was after the Heath Shuler, Gus Frerotte years.

Letting Stan go wasn't a big deal, he was in San Diego at the right time but really only had one or two good years. Wycek was a good TE, not great but good.

Three guys I think of that management missed on were Ryan Clark, Antonio Pierce and Chris Cleamons. Brian Mitchell should have been re-signed also.
