I just listened to Cat's in the Cradle again. I never knew my father, and the tears flowed the way they always do when I hear that song.

Not being much of a lyrics person, I'd never really paid attention to what this song was about.....but just recently read its about a guy who tried to kill himself, failed, then escaped from the hospital to go jump off a bridge......once put into that context it really takes it to another level of sadness and desperation:
