Sabres seem to get lazy when they have the lead in the 3rd period, and the Kings are really bringing it while keeping the Sabres on their heels.

Good game King fans. My laptop battery died in the second period.

2-0 Lets go Buffalo! I love the balanced scoring this team has. All of the lines can score.

Nice game guys.

The Sabres,I think, were harshly criticized during the off-season for not going after a #1 center, which many in the media believed was their more glaring weakness. It seems like Regier and Ruff are making the media look like fools so far because they believed that they already had that #1 center. In the first two games, Luke Adam has been an absolute monster. Sabres looked really solid for the majority of this game.

peace.

I know it's only 2 games, but I feel the Sabres have made a pretty strong statement to the rest of League that they are for real this year.

Everything seems to be clicking for them, and Miller has looked like he's going to challenge for the Vezina this season.

Only thing I don't like so far is the lazy and sloppy play by the Sabres when having the lead in the 3rd period. They had 0 shots against the Ducks, and only 4 against the Kings, while making really bad passes in their own end.

Great way to start off the year, and I'm looking forward to the home opener against the Canes next Friday.

I agree I don't like the way they have played with the lead either. Lets hope they don't fall into a shell when they have the lead.

Other than that they look pretty solid and as I said I like the work from all four lines. Lets hope they keep it up and it's good to see Pommers playing with some fire again.

Stats don't lie. 82 points won't give the Kings a playoff spot, but Kopitar wills score 123 goals. :)
