Saban didnt like the inconsistency we had at that position this year. I am surprised he made it this far in 2014 before letting him go. Some good recruits coming and already on the team in that area, need a top notch coach to get them to perform at a high level. I applaud this move.

You all went 11-2. That's pretty good.

Would probably be undefeated if not for that part of the defense, weakest link by far this year. Cant sit back and rest if you didnt achieve the goal you set and we didnt make the BCS title game. His coaching played a big part of that letdown.

Don't see why. If someone's being paid to do a job and they're doing it poorly, then they find employment elsewhere. That's especially true at Alabama.

... and yes, knew you were being sarcastic.

You lost one game because of a fluke field goal whatever that's called.

Got beat like a dog across the table in the Sugarbowl....but think all coach's across the table are encouraged to let go?

11-2 is really good. Just surprised Bama coach's are leaving.

I don't think he is leaving I think he is swapping places with Kevin Steel to get him back on the field. Looks like Brown is going to the back office.

Trivia Question: When was the last time Kevin Steel coached in a game?

Answer: He was the defensive coordinator for Clemson in the 2012 Orange Bowl where WV scored 70 points.

I agree ... this is crazy ... you'd think they went 8-5.

I think some of it has to do with Saban sending a clear message across board all the things that need to be done to be successful and that even coaches are to be held accountable.
