Agree 1000%. There really shouldn't be any question about Curl coming into this season as the Skins unquestioned starting strong safety. He earned it the right way.If Curl isn’t on the field, fuck this team.

No doubt. I think he'd cost 26 million against the cap. The year after would be much better, but I think that's still a 9 million dollar hit. Just a terrible reminder that Bruce Allen was once in charge of signing Skins player personnel.collins cant be cut ( or i should say it would be foolish to ) do to the cap . next year is better
I've found it somewhat odd no one has been able to convince Collins that he could n would make more cash and be more valuable to a team as a decent OLB as opposed to a shitty safety. Maybe not in quite those words, but you get what I'm trying to say.Collins cant cover. Its as simple as that. He’s a light linebacker. A tweener. Faster than a linebacker, slower than a free safety should be, and pretty good at helping in run support.
If he wont out-and-out switch to lb full time - weakside at that, where he wouldnt have as much coverage responsibilities,- then he should be a sub package safety. Maybe if he has to cover quarters, or cover 3. Anything else is just begging offenses to flood his zone and exploit his weaknesses.
Landon Collins' career will likely fall off the cliff once he is cut here next year. Terrible contract for a player who didn't deliver.I've found it somewhat odd no one has been able to convince Collins that he could n would make more cash and be more valuable to a team as a decent OLB as opposed to a shitty safety. You are so right, both failed miserably since coming here. I thought Norman was flat out awful. Collins can shift that thinking with great play this year but I'm reluctant to think his game will improve coming off injury and really, he shouldn't start, Kurl should start at SS. What a terrible situation his contract/injury have put the coaches in. Knowing full (coaches) well that Kurl is the better option (he proved so) to have to find a place on the field for an over paid recently injured poor coverage safety should make for an interesting upcoming season. I can see a malcontent if his role is limited, which it should be moving forward. When Riddick Bowe was champ he lived in the area so it wasn't odd to see him out. He was playful and funny. I remember a statement he made ... "It is a lot harder to get out of bed and run five miles when you are sleeping on silk sheets." That can go for any athlete. All that said Allen was often fiscally responsible but Norman and Collins were not good moves. They might have been a little too in love with the Alabama mystique then.
