Yeah, seems that Russell's agent wants a contract that is structured like a baseball contract. This is holding up the whole process. To bad he didn't have a football agent, baseball is a completely different beast when talking about contracts.

I'm all for it. Make it so!Was just listening to John Clayton, evidently he's saying Seattle would sign Russ right now to and extension for 22 mill a year ... If Russ doesn't take that I would be surprised... #@$^ the Insurance policy Wilson get paid brotha!!! That's a 21.5 million dollar a year raise!
But from RW's side of it, unless there's a large signing bonus, his raise is nothing until 2016. I can't think Seattle is offering no bonus, but maybe the bonus is not big enough right now to get RW's pen uncapped. Was just listening to John Clayton, evidently he's saying Seattle would sign Russ right now to and extension for 22 mill a year ... Yes, I think there will be. It's just that the bigger the bonus, the more of a cap hit the Hawks take in '15. That's probably what's holding things up -- gotta try to make it work under the cap along with whatever is in the works for Wagner. Not as easy as the pundits or some of us thing it is.Be interesting when it get's done... But I imagine their will be a singing bonus and a pretty good sized one...
