Doesn't seem like a good sign of him and the Seahawks coming to a agreeement this offseason. Or it could be a way to ramp up the pressure on the Seahawks.

After thinking about it. This isn't that big a deal. Lots of players take out insurance policies.

Yeah, seems that Russell's agent wants a contract that is structured like a baseball contract. This is holding up the whole process. To bad he didn't have a football agent, baseball is a completely different beast when talking about contracts.

was listening to John Clayton on 710 this morning. Said he doesn't get it. That if Wilson plays out the deal, he will never make up the lost money, even if he gets a little bigger per year. The difference between playing at 20ish mill and 1.5. He said he doesn't understand what wilson and his agent are doing. The numbers should be pretty straight forward.

I still think a deal gets done, but i'm starting to question his agent. I understand the agent works for the player, but I have a feeling RW's agent is giving him some bad advice.

Was just listening to John Clayton, evidently he's saying Seattle would sign Russ right now to and extension for 22 mill a year ... If Russ doesn't take that I would be surprised... #@$^ the Insurance policy Wilson get paid brotha!!! That's a 21.5 million dollar a year raise!

But from RW's side of it, unless there's a large signing bonus, his raise is nothing until 2016. I can't think Seattle is offering no bonus, but maybe the bonus is not big enough right now to get RW's pen uncapped.

I'm glad that Tavaris Jackson will be back with the team as a backup... I don't know too many teams with a better backup... Seasoned vet... Seahawks have some pretty solid insurance themselves...

Yes, I think there will be. It's just that the bigger the bonus, the more of a cap hit the Hawks take in '15. That's probably what's holding things up -- gotta try to make it work under the cap along with whatever is in the works for Wagner. Not as easy as the pundits or some of us thing it is.
