I know he yelled at him. yes, taking Peterson out of the game inside the 5 then throwing the ball should be questioned no matter who the coach is. NO didnt sign AP top be a receiver out of the backfield. So his role shoud be short yardage goal line.

OK...so Brees, a HOF QB and has proven to be better at getting TDs than AP, should just hand it to AP? Think about that for a moment.

Hmm - the other 2 RBs for the Saints are doing pretty damn well - over 500 yds combined running & receiving yds between the 2 of them & the rookie may be a future star in the NFL. Yep - Payton is an idiot.

As far as why did NO sign AP. Well - why did the Redskins sign Fat Al? Why did the Jets sign Farve? Why did the Eagles sign Nnamdi Asomugha & a slew of other FAs? It was all about hope & perhaps viewing a player based on his reputation & not his current self.

Perhaps the Saints viewed AP differently once they had a bigger sample of his playing. Time will tell.

but AP is not even getting a chance at goal line carries. Those guys you mentioned all played

never said he was. karama is a different type back. He is a 3rd down receiving type back.

Again - you don't get to see these guys in practice or anywhere beyond the game so none of us know the complete story.

AP is one dimensional, or he was. Now he isn't even that. Ingram is better at that too, plus he is a better blocker, and he can catch the ball.

Perhaps our former GM after a "few whiskeys" would make that trade for AP. The FO seems to be making better decisions these days on the roster.

If there's going to be a trade made for RB, then going for an older guy like AP would be a stopgap move. Long term, I would much rather go after one of the Bengals RB's. With the addition of Mixon, one of their two other guys (Giovani Bernard..5'9" 205, 5th year or Jeremy Hill 6' 1" 235 4th year) will be playing in different colors next year if not sooner.

I love AP as a Sooner great but I absolutely want no part of a 32 yr old RB in DC with all those miles on his tires. He was a great back and I'm sure he's heading for Canton some day but that ship has sailed.

I agree 100%. Jermey Hill would be the guy.

How about the Redskins see what they have in Mack Brown, who has looked better in his two games this year and last than AP has, then trade anything for AP?

Dumb idea.

Reminds me of us signing Larry Johnson. Accept for the "going to Canton" part.

Gruden won't give him the opportunity it appears.
