For the record, I think this Arizona team will be better come March than last year's team, but isn't quite as good at this moment compared to where they were last year up to this point.

The combination of current ranking systems that trolly is employing is pretty good. I don't mean to pick on Wisconsin, but they don't play a style of ball I like. Let's call it the eye test....which is subjective.

Wisky's looking good this year and will go deep in the tournament. With a break or decent draw and even without either, they could very easily end up in the NC game.

It isn't a beauty contest, it's a basketball ranking, idiot. If they will go "deep in the tourney" and could "easily end up in the NC game" with or without a good draw, why would you "disagree" with the rankings?

And my thought is you never watch games, because they currently have the best-ever offensive efficiency going back to the first sagarin decades ago. They run the floor, they have highlight jams, they hit tons of shots...HELL of a lot more fun to watch than your yawn-worthy (and shitty) Orange.

It's just crazy how this works. Regardless of who else each team has played, if a team has beat you home and away, they should be ranked above that team. How teams match up is more important to me than the resume.

My only guess as to why Texas may be ahead of Oklahoma State, despite being swept by them is that they have been more impressive in their wins against other competition than Oklahoma State has been. I looked it up, the only "unimpressive" win they have is by 1 point against Uconn. All their other wins have been by 9 points or more with an average margin of victory of 22 ppg.

Yeah, Texas is one of those "meh" teams that doesn't really have any bad losses, but they are lacking in quality wins to get a decent seed. At this point I probably wouldn't have them any higher than a 10 seed, but as a 10 seed I still think they could make some noise this year.

Also worth noting that while Texas is ranked a few spots ahead of Okie State, the separation between their rating is actually very small. The difference between UK and Virginia is about 4.3x the difference between UT and OSU.

Yeah they have "good" losses, but at what point is to many to many? They do have a good win over WVU and a quality win over Iowa who albeit is a bubble team, but that would give Texas the edge if it somehow came down to those two. And yeah you're right 10 may be a little high, but I don't think 8/9 line is out of question. I had them at a 6 in my Friday bracketology, and they have since lost 2 more game on top of that.
