Also it seems his phobia's stem from a teenage incident. It may take years or less but there is hope to help him conquer this phobia. This is not a disorder he was born with. The way his mind reacted to it may be, but nobody can say how a traumatic experience will effect another.

all that being said there are some questionable choices he made with regards to the media but I think that all comes back to his fear of flying.

He doesn't have to have a job in the NBA. I'm scared to death of heights and get motion sickness, yet I'm not trying to be a pilot.

I think it's fucked up on his part that he supposedly told the Rockets that flying would not be a problem. If he had told the Rockets, I highly doubt that they would've drafted him in the middle part of the 1st round. He's been about as unprofessional in this process as possible given the bashing on twitter he gave the Rockets.

If he's not going to play all road games then he should definitely take a significant pay cut. If you only play home games then you should only get paid half of what you would've made if you played the full 82 games.

So, because he won't take all 100 flights... might as well just say fuck and it not bother. The man has a guaranteed contract at this point. May as well help him get through it and see what comes of him. It's not as though he has to fly just to go to every road game. Additionally, you can prioritize certain road trips and plan ahead.

But alright... let's just make everything black and white. He's not even on your team... calm the fuck down. The kid has talent... hopefully he gets through it.

If im a contractor and come to your house and tell you that will be 20.000 to replace the roof we sign a contract. I show up bright and early with everything i need to do the job and say sorry im afraid of hights now pay me you would feel ripped off right and sue me if not does your house need a roof.
