Dammit again! Elbow's fine and I played really well yesterday. I was bangin' the driver all day...until 18. Tried a miracle shot off of a bad drive that didn't come off and carded a double bogey 6.

....to shoot 80! Fuck, it would have been nice the shave one off the card somewhere. I did play very well though....that was my only blow up hole.

bought the new putter but didn't get a chance to get out and play this weekend. Did stop at the golf store again to see how my 3W compares to what is on the shelf today and I am definitely 30 yrs behind compared to the best I was hitting...so I guess I am due.

Put a bid on a Callaway Epic Speed 3W on eBay this morning. I don't expect it to win, but I will keep an eye on it and possibly pull the trigger on it if it gets to the "buy" option.

I have the callaway rogue 3wood. I hit it off the turf about as well as my cheap one which is not good. Off the tee it is almost as long as my driver.

Jammed my left thumb a month ago and it’s really affecting my swing. I usually don’t notice it until I’m gripping something with my left hand. Then it’s a little painful especially with those fat shots. Played a really difficult course last weekend. Lost 6 balls and scored a “fuck it”

Best round I'll have all year yesterday. My putting was insane...no three putts and although I was bummed that I drove into the face of a bunker on 18 and took a double bogey to close, I did get greedy on the bogey putt 'cause it would have been for a 74 to best my course record 75 and I ran it ten feet past. Cripes....three over on the tee and I'm staring at a triple. So at least I made that putt and held onto the 75 to tie my previous best. I hit 8 greens...of course, the one on 18 was the only drive I missed all day.

I had at least 10 curling side-hillers that I hit dead center. Had three birdies including a pitch-in and three double bogeys.

First time out with my new putter yesterday. It wasn't a good day on the course for me and I lost $3 in skins to the birthday boy.

walked 18 holes for $18 yesterday at 3:30. Played the front 9 twice since there was a foursome teeing off on 10 after we got done 9 and didn't want to wait for them.

the cupholder for my clicgear cart sucks ass. It absolutely crushes any beer cans you put in it. I feel like I need to armor my can with a Yeti coozie.

also they had the pin placements in some of the most ridiculous, terrible spots yesterday.


needless to say, it wasn't my best time on the course, but it felt good to work out some stuff.

played a pretty solid 9 holes last night with a 45. Everything felt pretty close to right.

got to the course early and putted around for a bit, got a better feel for the new putter...but still not reading greens all that great right now. On the 3 holes that I hit driver, all tee shots were pretty decent, 2 in the fairway, one to the left that didn't fade back like it usually does, so maybe my grip was right for once.

one real blow up hole with a 7 where the tee shot went left of some trees, was able to punch out, but left a sand wedge short of the green and hacked my way to the finish.

holed a shot from about 125 out with my pitching wedge. Hit the ball perfectly, landed soft on the green, bounce bounce, disappear into the cup.

That was pretty cool. Easily the furthest out I have ever holed a shot.

gave a nice Ric Flair "wooooo" and tossed my club in celebration.

Got paired up with a random twosome Saturday, which was a little awkward, but they were ok. I was afraid they would be a lot better, and not like playing with us, but the one guy was probably about an 85-90, and the other guy a 95. I shot a 104... First time I've played from the blues in a while. Greens were faaaast.

we got stuck behind this group of 3 older guys yesterday and maybe one of them was decent...but they were all hitting from the damn blue tees.

they didn't let us play through either.

Played as the guest in a member-guest yesterday and just could not get off the tee comfortably on a new course. Shot a 90 with, I shit you not, 10 penalty strokes off the tee. Fucking embarrassing.

Been playing like shit all year. Lost a lot of distance, shots are extremely high. I'll try different things that work for a few holes and then poof...gone. Trying so many new things i don't feel like i have natural swing anymore.

Tomorrow i go in for a swing evaluation and then set up some lessons.

I've been revamping my entire swing this spring/summer. It's been very painful at times...shooting higher scores than in years...but the good shots are better than I've ever hit, so I'm on the right track.

Got to play and practice more, doh.
