I watched a decent amount of that game, my wife is a fan, and I did not think they were going to score one. Oh and letting the Blue Jackets score less than a minute into the game is a nice touch too.

Personally I think replacing the coaching staff was a huge blunder. Claude Noel seems to be a bit of a rube behind the bench, looking lost and confused.

The problem with Mason was, apparently, Kris Russell.

Either that or Umberger found him a Co-ed with Mono.

Mase was phenomenal last night. Almost looked like an NHL goalie. And Sanford is activated off the IR today, so maybe Mason can get some rest and get his head straight.

With Enstrom out for an extended period, I like the Jets for 1st overall this year.

I've said it all along; the Jackets are better than they've shown and will climb out of the cellar (just a little bit out).

They showed some heart last night. Two solid lines and two decent D Pairings too. With a goalie, they will climb just far enough to miss the draft lottery and the playoffs!

They are not as bad as the record suggests. But there is no depth. One more key injury, or one more big suspension and they are in for another extended funk. Good core though. I'd like to have a veteran goalie to fall back on, and a steady Jan Hejda like defenseman (like, perhaps Jan Hejda), but overall I think they'll get going here soon.
