Having blown out my own achilles, a complete tear, i would sincerely doubt he'll be 100% in six months. He'll also have had no training camp and very little practice time.
Hopefully he'll get time as the season goes on, maybe as a third cb or zone situation but i just don't see him as an impact player six months after blowing it out.

Les Bowen has a ton on this. It wasn't a complete tear, it was higher up and supposedly the higher the better. He is only 20 so that should help in the healing. On the field this kid was the best corner in this draft. Another clean player except for the injury. Redshirt him for this year, have a shutdown corner for years to come.

Jones' injury was not as bad as other achilles injuries ... he has a chance to play half the year. The Eagles will take other CB's ... very deep class.

I gotta admit that I wanted Mixon since he was there. However, now thinking about it, his achillies injury doesn't look as severe as I originally thought. The Eagles are banking on long term with this pick. Jones is a complete shutdown corner and I wouldn't rush him back, but since Eagles staff and team doctors think he will recover, I love this pick. Our defense is shaping up nicely.

This team needs to be thinking 2 years down the road. Wentz in year 3-4 is when we should expect to start being a contender or at least the best in our division.

We are a rebuilding team. Picking Jones who could be the best CB in this draft, was smart for the long term and the biggest need for this team now and in the future. With Barnett (whom I like the player, just thought there were other players better at the time) and Jones, we are building for the future on the D side.

We get our true RB next season (Barkley). Go sign Charles, he still is a FA and probably cheaper. Load up defense and get a playmaker for Carson. I wouldn't mind TE Jake Butt.
