When the black guy who's had a banana thrown at him from the stands thinks you've gone too far, maybe quit it? :noidea:

I'd love Simmonds on the Flames, put him alongside Gaudreau and Monahan, or even on the second line with Sam Bennett, either one works for me.

I think any team would gladly take him. He's on one of the most team-friendly contracts in the league, too.

Ugh. There was nothing positive from this game outside of the score for Caps fans. Orpik might be done, Orlov is lucky he's not dead and the entire Philly fan base lived up to their rep.

The only one who looked halfway decent out of this whole thing was Simmonds.

Gained a lot of respect for Simmonds. his quotes after the game were talking about how embarrassing the whole situation was. Complete opposite from White's comments about how he'd do the same thing if he were a fan.

Goalie Braden Holtby left Tuesday's practice with an apparent left knee injury after colliding with a teammate. Holtby, 26, has been stellar so far in the playoffs, posting a 3-0 record with a 0.67 goals-against average and a 0.978 save percentage. He's also posted a shutout as the Caps lead the Flyers 3-0 in the series.

The thing that pissed me off more than anything about last night was Gudas fighting Burakovsky. He still has his stick in his hands and Gudas is throwing punches..

Trotz said he "I don't anticipate him not playing." so seems like its not too serious

In general I agree that players need to protect themselves better, but I don't see that holding any validity on that hit.

Agreed - Do defensemen sometimes put themselves in bad positions along the boards trying to avoid hits from opposing players? Absolutely, but I don't think that applies in this case. Orlov is trying to get back to the puck as fast as he can with Bellemare hot on his heels. There's not a lot Orlov can do to prepare for any kind of hit.
