Really? "Free agency with GMSM scares you?" Here's a list of players GMSM brought in during free agency, i.e., not drafted:

So lemme see now... blackmon, bruton, compton, davis, foster, hopkins, rjf, norman, nsheke are all locks to make the roster (that's nine players, or about 17% of the roster), hood, reyes, toler, ross, and kelley are most likely going to make the roster (that's now 14 out of 52 or 27%), and dunbar/everett/phillips all have a shot to make the roster, or at least played better than expected last season.

In addition to the draft, I think GMSM has done an awesome job at free agency, especially with little known, over looked players who can come in and contribute almost immediately.

I give him a pass on the Rookie FA's because again that is his strong suite. But we shall see how his recent veteran FA's work out. The last batch was 40/60 at best.

Morris to the boys worries me a bit, because he will play with some fire and I thought it was a mistake to let him go.

Peanut.... they can have him. The lasting impression I will have of him is, yet another Scot Mc free agent that got paid well and did little of naught for us. Seriously when it comes to drafting players, I trust our GM..... free agency scares me with him.

I think I feel the opposite actually. But thats more because Im becoming suspicious about GMs ever knowing what the hell theyre doing in the draft.

Oh i missed Paea. Manny always seemed to think he could play but I dont really know enough to comment on whether thats true.

Id be ok with LeReibus getting cut lol.

Here is why Free Agency scares me way moe than the draft.

Say you spend a single HIGH draft pick on a QB and he is a bust... yea you blew a top five pick, and around $20 million. BUt after two years of suckage, you can take your lumps and move on.

A bad Free agent signing can cripple a team for years. Rookies can usually improve. When you pay upwards of $50 million or a free agent, odds are he is not going to improve over what you signed, and most actually decline.

Free agency is usually best as a hole filler and not a team maker. We have had a couple of good ones but a ton of turds.

DJax has been worth it and if Josh Norman works out then home run recently for the Redskins.
