Somebody probably will. I can't imagine any GM thinking that would be a good idea though.
Injury prone and more concerned with making money than playing. He is a player that shouldn't get more than a year by year contract. It's really all he deserves. Someone will bite though. They always do

Rose is having a good year and he will get his money. He will be in the same situation as D Wade. You know he will miss from 5-15 games each year. Both suffer injuries and both need rest.

Difference is Wade is 34 and Rose is supposed to be in the middle of his prime at 27 years old.....that should not be the case for a 27 year old

Yeah, when D-Wade was 27, he played in 79 games and averaged 38.6 minuted per game. I'm not sure Rose has played in 79 games in his last 3 seasons combined.

Serious question. (and yes, I know the money is guaranteed)

Do the Bulls reach a point where, as a franchise, cutting D-Rose is the best-available option?

Cutting no, but eventually cutting ties when his contract is up I would think is a high probability.

They've committed to Jimmy Butler and I would think they're going to have to build around him. Portis will likely take over at the 4 soon for them. They may resign Gasol for a year or two to still be competitive. I think they should try to ship out Mirotic for picks and/or players.

Either way I don't see a future where the Bulls would commit to keep a Rose/Butler backcourt intact.

he's gone at the end of next season. maybe the knicks can add him to the list of pgs with short lifespans that they sign past their prime

I disagree, I agree he was bad at the start of the year but the last month or 2 he has been good(avg like 17-19pts per game, shooting a lot better). Mix in a couple missed games. That is who he is now. He will miss games to rest. He wont push his body if he feels something.

Derrick Rose will not play for the Bulls tonight against the Heat due to a groin injury. Coach Fred Hoiberg said Rose tweaked his groin late in the fourth quarter of last night's game against the Spurs and is not sure when he will return.

No worries Bulls fans!

He will be ready by October.
