I think Nos has the better offense. The rotations are tough. No doubt Milk has the better #2 in Gibson, but I think Nos 4 and 5 of Tanana and Martinez win their matchups. Could Seaver beat Grove or Hunter beat Guidry? Not out of the question, but I would give Milk a slight SP edge. Bench's are pretty even. Both clubs have strong pens, but Nos' is clearly deeper IMO.

Nos in 7

I would still like it explained to me why this team will lose here... But I am clearly going with my team...

I don't see why my offensive is worse than Nos, Nor why my rotation is worse...

My offense has a higher OBP, my 3-7 has better power than his 3-7 and my 1-2 is significantly better than his 1-2 despite him having the clear best offensive bat on the field...

I do think my 2 HOF pitchers are better than his 2... despite our ones being pretty much a tie...
I agree Tanana is probably better than Rogers and Fernandez... But Guidry is the best of the NON HOF pitchers...

But if Guidry is facing Catfish hunter then I guess hunter is better, but I see that to be very close...

so i guess the rotations are as close to a wash as possible... But i think my Bullpen is much better... But that is because i am very high on Henke and Hall

Lineups...
1. Milk
2. Nos
3. Nos
4. Milk
5. Nos
6 - 9 we could call a wash as they are all pretty close...

Rotation
1. I'll take Seaver over Grove all day everyday!
2. Gibson
3. I personally give a slight edge to Catfish here but it's not a big edge
4. Tanana
5. Martinez again not by a lot, I happen to like Sid

Your bullpen is not much better, matter of fact it's not even better, it's worse... I love Henke thats obvious being I had him in our last draft and tried to explain just how good he was but after Henke my pen is better.

I take it back Sid Fernandez had more seasons of better... I think my rotation is better...

if 6-9 is a wash, which i am fine to agree upon and i agree that your 2,3 are better(more so because they are absolute studs)... I don't agree that your 5 is better than my 5... But even if it is my middle of the lineup will have more runners on base to drive in... which makes me say my top is better than your top...

Seaver vs grove is subjective, but i wont argue with seaver being better... I think you are under rating Fernandez and rogers, but i am ok saying Tanana over rogers... But i do think Fernandez is better than Martinez...

I like Sid but I have an issue with him pitching every 5th day when he was hurt alot, he went over 150 innings what 7 or 8 times and barely had 100 wins. I do like him and have drafted him myself before but I would be surprised if anyone aside from you and Kirby Puckett would pick him over Martinez.

Your top guys wont be on base more because Butler got thrown out alot trying to steal 2nd. One other thing not mentioned is team defense I believe I have you beat there as well aside from the greatest defensive catcher of all time in Sundberg anyhow...

Sid Fernandez career ERA is 3.36 and career WHIP is 1.14

he had 4 seasons with an ERA of lower than 3, and 5 seasons with a whip under 1.1
3 seasons over 200 innings

Dennis Martinez career era is 3.70 and whip is 1.226

he had 4 seasons of under a 3 era and only 2 seasons with a WHIP under 1.1 and 6 more seasons under 1.2
9 seasons over 200 innings.

Fernandez struck out more batters per 162 game season... But neither were big strike out guys...

Clearly Martinez pitched deeper into games, but Fernandez was better in the innings pitched..

I misread that... Fernandez had a 162 game average of 195 SOs, he just never had over 200 SOs...
