Never mind dude. Don't bother answering. You can't even have a conversation obviously. Carry on:cheer2:

Wonder what team you'll root for next year. you did say you were more a Romo fan than Cowboy fan and didn't care after he got hurt last year, right? Maybe SportsHoopla can start a Romo board for you...

You want me to answer a question that you know I'm gonna have plenty of answers all in favor of what he said. In turn , you will say you can't be objective, dadadadada.

As far as next yr- I will likely take Dolemites approach and have two teams. I did that with Dorsett in Denver and Emmitt in Arizona. Yes when Emmitt came back to Texas Stadium, I wanted Dallas to win, but I wanted Emmitt to stick it up Parcells and Jerrys ass. Roy Williams ended that pretty quick.

Mr Arnett , I'm really starting to question whether you have ever experienced the pure ecstasy of competiting and winning. If not , that's Ok - you probably just don't understand what Romo did.

So in case you haven't, let me help you out. For the past 10 yrs that man has sacrificed his body and given his all to this organization. Sure it was worth millions to him financially.

Today he bared his soul for the betterment of his team. Not because he thinks Dak is better, and he's not, but it was the right thing to do. That Jim is priceless.

So he's more interested in himself than the team? I've seen many injured players ecstatic on the sideline jumping up and down watching their teams win without them and as proud of those championship rings as any player or fan.

Not just injured, injured and seeing your replacement taking away your job & career.
At the heart, was Romo saying that the success of this team without him hurt more and put him in the "darkest place"?

Absolutely, 1000%. How could it not hurt more. The motivation that brought Tony Romo this far started 20 years ago and has only done it for his own wants & needs. As does every sports athlete, as do we all.

And in a flash it's all been taken away from you ...conflicting feelings have to be expected.

This article by Chris Chase I think gets to the meat of it.
And I like how he makes the point the these conflicting emotions from Romo were so important
for the team to move on because without the real truth of what he was going through ..there would be
more speculation.

Tony Romo showed true class and leadership by ending Cowboys QB controversy

PE1 isn't here yet J.
god, you really are an ass. And I'm not buying it either. Team first, right? Didn't we always hear he was the ultimate team player? Sack it up and act like a man and put the team first and when your ass gets cut next year give the cry baby routine if no one wants t otake a risk on an old injured QB. It doesn't help this team and I don't want to hear it. And maybe the "talk" was his wife telling him to act like a man and not a little bitch like he was last night. Boo friggin hoo. Poor Tony Romo only gets $20M to sit and root from the sideline. Apparently he has no clue what adversity means.

And for the last time I asked a question. I never said what he was definitively feeling or going through. You're balls deep in Romo's ass and the last two weeks you went off the deep end. you are not a fan of the Cowboys from my angle. I'm quite sure you are going to jump up and down if Romo pulls out a win against us. You're so set on knowing what will happen and we don't even know who will be the QB of this team in a month. But you are so heart broken and butt hurt that the team isn't kissing Romo's ass and has moved on with the better player that you are totally obsessed with it.

The only thing I disagree with is if you want to "move on"...take questions. It isn't over. It's a bigger story today than it was yesterday IMO. Stand there and answer questions for an hour and then it's over:2cents:

Ease up a little. My take is he has a very good team to be a part of and he didn't getvto play. Its not hatred towards anyone else.

Ok. That's pretty bad man. I knew you didn't like him. Almost sounds like me talking about Arod.

It's not Romo the player I'm being hard on...Read what I wrote:

I admit that rubbed me the wrong way, but perhaps I misunderstood what he was saying...

I dont have tome to read the whole thread and don't care to do so, but you have always had a little dislike for Romo, and I can understand why, but it seems as though that dislike is driving you to look for things. Put it this way, if you were going on the trip of a life time with friends or family, and just prior you were in an accident, while you were still able to makecthe trip, the others were able to go places, take rides, or ski down the largest mountain, while you sat on the side line, would you feel a little dark?

Not true that I've always had a little dislike for Romo. I always liked Romo and defended him where I felt he was being unfairly criticzed. One of my favorite things about these boards is I was always called a Romo lover by some (Fry) and a Romo hater by others. I think it highlights how some dig their heels in and defend their agenda over reality for some reason I've never understood. Like all players he has flaws and I've pointed those out and they've gotten bigger. With his health issues now he cannot be counted on, Dak or no Dak and that is what I have been saying for two years now. It was never the shoulder for me it was the back and that isn't going away. As someone with a bad back I can almost guarantee this. I can step back and take off my fan hat and be objective about even my favorite players. Again, I made one comment about one part of what he said and some (likely same ones that tried to defend his 5 ints) couldn't handle it. Sorry, but I think he should have chosen his words better and yes that rubbed mne the wrong way even if I understand a little about what he meant. To answer your question on hte vacation, no. That wouldn't make me feel dark at all, but it is not the same so I'm not sure my answer really matters on that

Maybe dislike is the wrong word, but you have posted enough to make it seem as though you'd replace Romo over the years if possible. And no you are no where near anti Romo as fried was. Maybe I'm reading too much into this but as I said earlier you seem to be looking for a Romo negative here, that I for one don't see. On a left right scale I've always thought you leaned left on Romo, RTO peaks the scale right, thats probably what has driven this thread. Personally I wanted Romo to get his shot to show wat he has left, still do, but never did I insist it happen.

No.

The guy who wrote that just because Romo announces he will move aside to let Dak take over?

No, that is miles beyond taking the fan hat off, anyone can see that.

yet apparently I'm the only one here still saying we will need romo before the year is out, am very happy he is still on this team, sees our QB situation as a blessing, not a problem and thinks he will serve an important role for us before all is said and done. Sorry if I'm not all depressed and feeling sorry for the guy like it's a funeral. Apparently Romo isn't the only one in a "dark place".

It is the wrong word. I've always liked Romo and still do. It's the Romo ball washers that I've struggled with. Never wanted to replace Romo and never said this team was better with him on the bench until right now and still say it's week to week and a month from now we may be better with him starting IMO. Always said we should be looking for his replacement and were foolish not to with an old injury prone QB that can go out for the season or at least a long stretch at any moment (which I think now most finally agree) regardless of how good he is. But that's just common sense IMO. No one plays forever.
