This is undoubtedly the stupidest thing I have ever seen You say
1) explain why
2) and then answer why the darkest hour of a player who has been seriously injured many times including last year is a time when his team is 8-1. Seriously, I'd like to hear this.

I believe what Romo meant by darkest hour was that he thought the team was one of the best in recent years and that he was "down" not being able to lead them because of injury. To me it was a personal down time not a team issue. Always hard to watch your team thrive without you even when you are rooting for them to do well it hurts when they move on like you were never around .

Been their wore out the Tshirt and cashed the check then moved on to the next challenge

That's just Life

JMHO
So he's more interested in himself than the team? I've seen many injured players ecstatic on the sideline jumping up and down watching their teams win without them and as proud of those championship rings as any player or fan.

Romo is a class act. Whatever team he goes to, I wish him good luck and best of health.
Hey, I hope Dak is the real deal just like everybody else, but it's way too soon to say this.

No I would not say that
I think he is being brutally honest that he wanted to lead the team and was not able to do so thus the "dark" reference while rehabbing to get back and watching Dak thrive.
Also don't forget that injury could have ended his career and maybe medical info we are not privy to that he also, could be referring 2 .

I am willing to give Romo more than the benefit of the doubt he has shown nothing but class throughout all of this

Man I've seen thousands of tweets since 5:15 NY time. I have watched NFL Network and ESPNs numerous reactions to this news. I've seen the haters come out and laugh that he was crying - that's why his hat was so low. I've seen them criticize him for reading it off of paper and not saying it. I have seen him criticized for not sitting around answering questions. Of all the things I have seen and read, you are the only one that I have seen question his choice of words and be "rubbed the wrong way." I could see Deion, McNabb, Jones Drew, Faulk, Laufenberg- the real haters do this.

"Through it all, you have a tremendous amount of guilt on having let your teammates, fans and organization down. After all, they're depending on you to bring them a championship. That's what quarterbacks are supposed to do. That's how we're judged. I loved that. I still do. But then here you are sidelined, without any real ability to help your teammates win on the field. That's when you're forced to come face to face with that's happening.

"Seasons are fleeting, games become more precious, chances for success diminish. Your potential successor has arrived. Your potential successor has arrived.

Injured two years in a row, now in your mid-30s. The press is whispering, everyone has doubts, you spent your career working to get here. Now we have to start all over. you almost feel like an outsider. Coaches are sympathetic, but they still have to coach, and you're not there. It's a dark place, probably the darkest it's ever been. You're sad and down and out, and you ask yourself, why did this have to happen. It's in this moment that you find out who you really are and what you're really about. You see football is a meritocracy, you aren't handed anything.

If you read that, it's clear to me his darkest hour is the feeling that it's all just slipping away from him.
Yes, your team is winning but they are doing it without you. You have become obsolete.

As a professional sports athlete, it must be a crushing feeling. One that I can't imagine.
And all the success in the world for your team won't fix it. It's like watching the love of your life marry someone
else. She's happy, but does that away your pain? No.

Romo can't help feeling this way. None of us could. If we could, that means we never really cared that much in the first place.

But understand the difference between how Romo felt and how Romo acted.
You know how he feels but in the end he acted like a man.

I'm not sure that's what he meant. Did you watch it yet or are you just reading? And again I'm only asking a question. I'm not making a concrete statement of what he meant, just what it seemed he was saying when I first heard it. I'm hoping I'm wrong. Of course I don't expect romotowens to answer without getting his Romo panties bunched up because he can't objectively address anything related to Romo but I am honestly just interested in most people's opinions on that one line. And on the other comment about him "crying" I do think he might have come off to some as a little overdramatic and whiny, but that didn't bother me because I think he was just being who he was and sincere and not holding back and trying to pretend it didn't bother him. I did appreciated the honesty. It's just that one comment because he obviously has been hurt over and over again and missed chunks of multiple seasons including a win or go home week 17 play-in game. So the one time we play better without him it bothered him more?

I'm the ass here.? I refuse to answer. I think Colors and RJ did a fine job of that.
No. Answer the question if you think it's such a dumb question. Otherwise don't comment on it and stop whining

What's it been now 5 hours? You still remain the only person that I have seen question it. That should answer your question good enough

Who are my board buddies? Why is it people that say dumb things that everyone disagrees with constantly think it's people sticking together as buddies and arguing against them instead of understanding they may just be saying dumb things:noidea:

You are losing so bad right now. That mercy clock is about to start running.
Never mind dude. Don't bother answering. You can't even have a conversation obviously. Carry on:cheer2:

Wonder what team you'll root for next year. you did say you were more a Romo fan than Cowboy fan and didn't care after he got hurt last year, right? Maybe SportsHoopla can start a Romo board for you...

Go back to the Chicago game on Sunday night week 3. Collinsworth made the statement that after the injury Romo took it extremely hard. He basically said he was a baby about it and distanced himself from everything for a few days. I could have been the only one watching at that time. It seems like it was real late in the game. It has been said numerous times that he has taken this really hard since it happened. Like he said 4 weeks went to 10 weeks. I'm sure this added to it. You don't think him and his wife had THE TALK after Thanksgiving last yr. You know the talk that if you get hurt again..... Then having to listen to people say he needs to retire or he will never be able to play with his kids. So what does he do- he mulls it over and thinks man if we can just stay in the hunt long enough, we can win this. I owe it to my teammates, fans, etc. to bust my ass and get myself right and maybe we will still have a shot. You know kind of like he has multiple surgeries in the off season just to be able to play. Remember it was said he looked better than ever in OTAs. Heresay yes. Seasons fleeting- he knows his time is running out. Asking the question - Why does have to happen now? The last thing on his mind the first 6 weeks was losing his job. Does that qualify as dark enough for you or shall I go on.
