They are interested in them too but you don't hear about the ACLU's efforts in their behalf. Most have tuned them out.

I spent a night in a Boston jail in the late 90s after a Bar scuffle. It was very Spartan indeed. It had old school metal bars and was very small but it was also pretty cool. The jailers were cool in an old school sort of way.

Hernendez is not being tortured because he has plenty of contact with people. The torture of solitary is solitude.
