Ian Rapoport:

An hour ago, Rolando McClain posted this on his Facebook wall: "Officially no longer an Oakland Raider!!"

Then, Rolando McClain posted this: "Well technically I am. But I'm mentally done. Just waiting on my papers"

The Raiders say Rolando McClain is still on the team. His reps say they have not been notified. McClain, apparently, disagrees #weird

And poof. Rolando McClain's Facebook wall has been wiped clean of that long thread about the Raiders kinda sorta maybe cutting him.

Still standing on McClain's wall? This query: "Why is the ring for the woman so much more expensive than the man's?"

This guy strikes me as a blight on society and a horrible teammate.

He still could be if he really does get off of that team. Oakland is where good players go to kill their career.

Doesn't he have to go thru waiver wire if so he won't make it that far

He would
I could see him passing through. If he is claimed the team would be on the hook for the rest of his rookie deal, and I think he came in the year before the rookie pay scale so he is still owed a good bit.

According to his wiki page he signed a 5 year 40 million dollar contract with Oakland. That means he would still have the rest of this year and 2 more left on it. I don't know how much would still be owed to him though for the last 2 years.

A team with a strong locker room might take a swing at him but I think he'll go through waviers.

Granted he's coming from the Raiders but so far he's done some stupid things that have nothing to do with what uniform he's wearing so it would be a bit of a risky move for a team to pick him up at that cost.

I'm amazed.... McClain was a great LB coming out of Alabama, he was really good IMO. Can't believe sh*t hit the fan in Oakland to cause an actual cut?

Oakland has no luck on their side.

McClain was vastly overrated coming out of College. He didnt have the speed or coverage ability. The only reason to explain him getting drafted that high is...Raiders. This guy was drafted higher than Willis. Did anyone think he was even as good as Willis coming out? No, I'm not saying they went in the same draft.

IDK about saying vastly overrated. Not talking about where he was drafted but McClain was very good in Alabama. He was a top talent coming out.

No way was he top 10 talent. You don't draft a LB in the top 10 that isn't elite. Being elite means you have it all. He was a slug running a 4.7 forty.

Dude was a stud in college on one of the better defenses at the time. Not sure what you've been watching.
