Sounds like tsn1040 is announcing that dhaliwal will be joining donnie and moj show later this afternoon lol
Btw HNIC was getting well over 2 million in viewership just a couple of years ago for Leaf games. Ratings being anywhere near 6 digits is concerning for a ton of reasons.
LILLEY: Dumping Don Cherry hurting HNIC ratings
A person can only take so much Ron Maclean and then you change the channel.
/Nice drugstore cowboy look last week in Strathmore, Ron.
That's Wexit for youYou know what else is a joke?!? Tonight is the first battle of Alberta game of the season and Rogers doesn't make it a national broadcast.
I am no fan of Sportsnet, but I am a fan of Rick Ball and I wouldn't like it if this meant he would no longer e calling Flames games.
Global?Flames games moving to DAZN?
I haven't seen the ratings (jstew I'm sure could confirm), but I'm pretty sure Halford and Brough are killing it in the 6-10 am slot and the same likely is the case for Sekeres and Price in the 2pm - 6pm slot. As for the 10 am - 2 pm slot, Sportsnet might be feasting on Donnie and the Moj lol
I’m guessing Canucks radio was done by a news station before 650 got it though? I know at least half of Leafs were on 640 as recently as ten years ago and the only sports radio they had was Leafs Lunch with Bill Watters lol.
Anyway, that is to say they could just use that as a lure for the off-peak hours the way radio stations used to.
Agreed but I guess there’s only so many ads for 5 Minute Energy they can sell before it gets tough to keep the lights on.was on NW (news) for 35+ years, then 1040 for something like 10 then rogers got the rights and put the games on 650 ... which was oldies music ... im talking 50's,60's oldies music lol And iirc, the first year they had canucks it remained oldies music which the canucks didnt find ideal but they were promised rogers would change the format to all sports
while having the broadcast rights on a non sports station has certainly been done, i feel its another thing to abandon the sports talk format on a station that holds the rights ... theyre basically quitting on the product
