"It's going to be fun to watch" (SF Chronicle)

Nice story, and I'd recommend reading the linked story in the article about his friendship with Frank Gore.

"It's a winning system, but it's a matter of getting everybody on the same page. Once the timing comes together, it's going to be a beautiful thing to see because they've got all the weapons to make it happen. I can't wait until the chemistry comes together. When the chemistry comes together, it's going to be fun to watch, man. I'm excited."

Read both ~ both are excellent reads! I knew Gore & Craig were acquaintances, we have all seen them together on the sidelines on occasion, but I had no idea they were as close as they are.

Here are a couple favorite quotes of mine:

"Craig doesn't know Harbaugh well -- they've met a few times -- but he's a believer. He says Harbaugh will focus on the details, which can elevate the timing-based offense from a system into a symphony."

"You have to be perfectionist," Craig said. "Man, when we practiced we didn't make mistakes. Bill Walsh was the kind of guy that he wanted to have perfection and we lived up to those expectations. And we were accountable for every play that was run. When everyone understands that are you are an extension to each other, as Bill Walsh would say, then you've got something."

Watching coach Harbs in practice gives me flashbacks of how I used to watch Niner practices as a kid back then. NO mistakes, no effing around kind of guy who is all about his immaculate timing.

Perhaps, Walsh's greatest genius was getting his players to perform to his expectations, not theirs.

Walsh was extremely efficient with practice time. Not like Singletary.
