ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Packers could be requesting "multiple" first round draft picks from the Jets in exchange for Aaron Rodgers.

There's no veteran QB worth caring about. What you really want is a young franchise QB, who the Jets don't have access to this year. So in the meantime spend a year or two trying to get a chip with Rodgers.

Competing for playoff spots rarely puts you in position for a young franchise QB. Jets will have to fail hard with or after Rodgers to get into position again (and then choose more wisely than last time).

Worst offensive coach in football.

We’ll see how long Aaron enjoys being around Hackett while he’s the one calling plays…

Appearing on The Pat McAfee Show Tuesday, Aaron Rodgers said his intention is "to play and play for the New York Jets."

After first explaining where babies come from and then getting into the known history of the early universe, Rodgers finally stated his intentions. He said the holdup is compensation talks between the Jets and Packers, and that it is out of his hands at this point. That part is clearly true. Rodgers also claimed he was "90 percent" leaning toward retirement before his now-infamous darkness retreat, but that he was jolted into wanting to return after emerging and finding the Packers wanted to trade him. Sure, whatever. The takeaway is that Rodgers wants to play in 2023 and the only team that currently wants him is the New York Jets. It is going to happen soon rather than later.

It was all LaFleur. Hackett was mostly there to be Rodgers’ drinking buddy.
A good QB can mask his play calling. Russ couldn't do it so if Rodgers struggles as well, he'll be gone in a year.

Russ’ QB rating for the season was 84.4. After Hackett was fired, Russ had a QB rating of 96.5.

Final two games of the season, without Hackett, he had a special teams coach at HC and a tight ends coach as his offensive coordinator.

Russ is a good QB that couldn’t overcome Hackett’s incompetence…

Russ wasn’t the problem.
Well I'll meet you half way on Hackett but Russ was also part of the problem.

What fucking drama.

Jets oughtta just tell Aaron to beat it......Aarons arrogance will just get worse and they should have realized that......

LaMaar Jackson would have been way way better......

Atleadt you could lock him up for the next 4-5 years and alot younger without dealing with a headcase.....

Not sure if anyone mentioned it but this will likely drag on until June 1st. If what they said was correct, if the Packers trade him before that date they get hit on the cap for 42 million this year due to the signing bonus on his last contract. If they trade him after 6/1 they spread it out over 2 years.

What the heck is this "haven't agreed trade compensation" BS? Is it the Packers way of telling their fans they were asking for multiple 1st round picks before settling for a bag of chips? What have they got if the Jets pull out of the deal?
