The Brewers are in first place in the NL Central but have only one all-star representative. This just goes to show what a sham the all-star game is.

Using the Brewers' All-Stars to evaluate the fans' selection is a sham.

The Brewers are an example of the sum being more than its parts. Knebel is the only player from the Brewers that "deserves" to be an All-Star based on merit. If you disagree, let me know who you think got snubbed.

Further, looking over the NL All-Star Starters, I think the only NL player that got truly snubbed was Washington's Anthony Rendon.

Well, I was under the impression that G&G was saying that it shouldn't be a popularity contest, but rather should be based on merit. If that's the case, it's not nearly as subjective as you've implied.

I looked at Shaw as the only MIL you could even make a case for as being snubbed, but Rendon was snubbed even worse at the same position, so meh.
