Both sides are desperate with few other options. It will not work out, obviously, because the Browns could sign Joe Montana in 1982 and he would implode.

You may be right, but I certainly don't wish anything bad for RG3. Also - anything that might go against the Ravens or Steelers is OK by me.

I totally endorse this move.:thumb:

In an aside, this move MIGHT actually allow the Browns to draft Bosa, which would push Wentz down to Dallas at #4.

Win win as far as Im concerned. :D

There is no way Hue Jackson is going to go all in on RG3 for his head coaching career. Maybe a trade back to land a QB yes. To pass on both Wentz and Goff would be foolish just b/c you have RG3. Quite frankly no QB is going to have success early for the Browns b/c they don't have any offensive weapons.

I wouldn't take a QB at 2 if I am the Browns. I would look to trade back.

With who and for who?? Unless Dallas is in love with Bosa and the Brown threaten to take him at #2, I dont really see a team desperate to trade UP for Wentz. Sure there are rumblings out of Philly, but they just gave Bradford $22 million in guarantee money. So they aint going to do it. The Rams need a QB, but thats a step jump from 15 up to #2. And while you could mention the 69ers, IM not sure Wentz is a better fit for what chip wants to do than the guy they currently have.

I cant believe you guys think the Browns will pass on a QB just b/c of the RG3 signing.

Why should Cleveland draft a QB at all? How has that worked out for them lately. Perhaps just maybe they are tired of spending high picks on QB's. Perhaps just maybe RG3 is now the man up there. Nah, as the skins have proven,,,, when bringing Griffin to your team it is wise to draft an insurance policy. Gosh I feel sorry for Cleveland fans,,,,, Is there anybody here that believes RG3 will prevail in Cleveland... a lose lose for all involved. Still, I'll be pulling for him to explode onto the scene up there. Wish him the best. Who knows,, he may have the last laugh.

$15 M over 2 years plus incentives is a lot of money? What did you think that he would get - the league minimum? You may think that they overpaid, but that type of money is not that high & an amt that won't mean much if he doesn't pan out.

Robert Griffin III's two-year deal with the Browns is worth $15 million, and includes $6.75 million guaranteed.

It's perhaps a little more money than expected, but similar to what Chase Daniel got from the Eagles. Griffin can make an additional $3.5 million per year through incentives tied to playing time and performance. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Browns are still fully expected to select a quarterback in the draft. Griffin will probably make starts this season, but not necessarily in Week 1.

Its a lot of money for a coach killer. I can see how Daniel got more money b/c He is following his offensive coordinator in Peterson. You have to change your offense for RG3 to be successful.

I would look...doesn't mean you have takers.
