If they get a clutch hit in the 9th, there is no extra innings. 1st and 3rd with one out and France strikes out. That is actually a positive for him since he didn't hit into a double play. Then Julio taps back to pitcher with 2 outs and bases loaded. One clutch hit and game opens up. 14 LOB plus a DP that wiped out another runner.

Sorry but 2 out of 3 against the team with no heart, no leadership, and no will is a disappointment. Munoz is not a closer. I can't say that enough. They were better off leaving Weaver to finish it off.

Well he pulled the same stunt today: 9th inning ( 1 run lead ) 1st batter he gets ahead quickly 0-2 ... next pitch lazy spinning slider w/ little break right down the middle and hitter laces a lead off double. then a batter or 2 later Munoz quickly ahead 1-2 in the count and throws the same limp dicked slider right down the middle for the tying run to get driven in with a solid hard hit base knock on a 1-2 count ( 4-4 extra innings now )

TOPA has much better stuff and spots pitches better than MUNOZ by a huge margin.
Munoz just tries to throw hard, he is not a pitcher. You have to be smart enough to entice a hitter to swing at a ball off the plate when you are ahead in the count 0-2 or 1-2. YOU DO NOT hang a weak ass breaking ball out over the middle of the plate.

How can skip not see Munoz glaring weakness in what I just described. I said the exact same then just a few days ago on this board.

Grooving an 0-2 fastball right down the middle to Perez and luckily he fouls it off then throws a ball 2 feet off the plate perez laughs at and then the money pitch - game tying hit is a 1-2 count fastball up top of the strike zone clearly in the big guys wheel house and he laced it for a game tying single.

He has zero control and just throwing the ball and clearly not pitching.

He needs demoted to inning eater in a blow out. ANY reliever but him is better than watching Munoz give away games in the last inning

Its so obvious to anyone with even novice pitching or baseball knowledge. yet he marches his ass out there like he is the only option to close.

Well that shit show finish will make for a quiet plane ride home this evening. Could have taken the field on friday riding a season high 9 game winning streak and feeling like a BOSS.

Instead they gave the win away with shitty mgr - shitty closer and bad defense in extra innings and allow the other team to beat them and the ball never left the infield.
