Torrens, Winkler, and Stanek are all playing for the 17-7 Mets this year. I doubt if they are spending much time reminiscing on their time with the Mariners.

Up 1-0 in the 2nd with the bases loaded and no outs, Moore swings at ball 4 and lines out to the 1B who doubles off JP. Foolio then K's on a slider at his ankles. Good times.

Wait a minute. Hancock has pitched two solid innings and Garver drove in a run? What? Am I in an alternate universe?

We are going to be stuck with Solano all year because, like Garver, he was Dipoto's idea. If he keeps on sucking, Dipoto will have them invent an injury for him and IL him. But they won't cut him.

If the first 25 games are any indication, Devers is going to pout all year and Bregman is going to make a run at the AL MVP with 60 doubles, 30 homers, and 120 RBI.

If I was the Red Sox GM, I'd trade Devers at the deadline, bargaining to eat up to 40% of his contract.

crawford's first homer came at a good time. 4-0 m's with nobody out in the top of the 4th.

holding onto garver is 100% on ownership.

it doesn't matter who the gm is. if a player gets signed for more than $5 mill/year, the owners will NEVER let them go even if they're pure, unadulterated dogshit. solano's contract is $3.5 mill, and I wouldn't be surprised if owners still wouldn't approve releasing him no matter how awful he is. that's our ownership group.

There is the Hancock we know and love. His pitch count was in pretty good shape before he started walking hitters. Now I'm not sure he will get five innings in unless the Mariners get a couple more runs in the top of the fifth. Otherwise, will they let him go through the lineup a third time with only a 3-run lead...in Fenway?
