JP seems like he couldn't hit his way out of a wet paper bag this year. Batting .173 with only one extra-base hit through 17 games. But - here's a shocker - he leads the American League in walks and is 14th on On Base Percentage.

Arozarena is tied for fourth in the AL in walks, JRod is tied for 9th, and Cal is in the top 30. Edgar was always a strikezone disciplinarian so maybe his philosophy is rubbing off on these guys. More plate discipline. That could lead to higher batting averages in the coming weeks. Or not.

Evidently, Bryce Miller has been dealing with some soreness since the end of last season that continued into ST and the regular season. That's not a good sign.

We're going up against a starter with a 6+ ERA, so he'll probably be lights out against the M's.

Dylan Moore needs to be in the lineup on a nightly basis

If he can even play below average first base, we need to sit every other first baseman we have in lieu of Dillon Moore playing 1st base.

Crazy to think that about Moore, but it is true. Playing while he is hot.

We need a stud 1B. That should be the easiest thing to get yet we never do.

Tellez is this year's Wong, La Stella, Upton, Frazier, Lamb, Souza Jr, Pollock, Hummel, and 2024 Polanco.

I will forever be a huge Dan Wilson the player fan. He fit that team perfectly, but Cal is the best we have ever had. He is the guy they hoped Jeff Clement would be.
