It's all about the money. Fiesta Bowl officials already said they want a 10-2 Nebraska over a 11-1 Stanford due to the fact that Nebraska fans travel better than any fanbase in the country.

Couple that with the fact that it's Nebraska vs. Oklahoma........it's a homerun.

LOL, there are a couple of teams in the whole US of A that travel well.

at neither Clemson nor VT getting any love for an at-large bid... both teams have excellent chances to be 11-1 going into the ACCCG and Clemson for one has a far superior schedule to Houston, Boise, and Stanford.

Unfortunately the ACC just doesn't carry enough weight in the public's eyes. The BCS bowls will always fail because of the fact that they aren't looking to pair up the best teams........they're looking to pair up whoever is going to bring in the most money

Clemson and VT's fans travel very well though, so I don't buy the $$ arguement. It's frustrating how badly the ACC is portrayed at times by the media who conveniently leave out how shitty the B1G and Pac12 are this year.

Clemson sold 8,000+ tickets to the friggin' MPC Computers Bowl in Boise, Idaho back in 2001 and is one of the best traveling fan bases in the south east. VT perennially sells out not only their stadium, but opposing teams stadiums as well. If the BCS is all about money, these two programs will absolutely satisfy that criteria.

The tv contracts are written and ads are sold long before the teams are announced. When ESPN shows the BCS bowls, they don't wait for the matchup and then decide how much to pay for the TV rights.

and crazily enough, espn's highest rated game ever included VT

Of course nearly 50% of the fans there were Oregon fans.
