Is there a possibility that the Big East doesnt get a BCS?

It seems like there was talk about tweaking the rule after last season, and i keep hearing people mention that "the Big East doesnt have a top 25 team".

FWIW i have looked around but cant seem to find anything concrete about it, but the interweb is so clogged with other BCS articles its hard to filter through.

lol @ air force in the independence bowl....they are still 2 wins away from eligibility and even then they would be the bottom eligible team in the conference

Well if Bama can't get to the BCS Championship Game playing Stanford would be cool from the historical perspective.

As far as Houston goes, it's kind of like the whole Boise St. thing all over again. If you want to play with the big boys you got to get into a big boys conference....

ya, that popped out to me as well...that's a classic right there

Michigan State vs. Arkansas would be a great game as well

Same with Oregon vs. Wisconsin

But.......as long as Houston wins out, they automatically get one of those spots I thought.....

Are they assuming they will lose one of their final games :noidea:

They do get the spot if they win out and even if they dont there will likely be a non-AQ team in the BCS. For example if Southern Miss wins out they will for sure crack the top 16 and be ranked ahead of whoever wins the BE thus making the Golden Eagles a BCS team.

It could be Houston vs. Alabama in the Sugar Bowl lol

Let's see Case Keenum play against that defense

See, to me.........assuming teams win out as expected in this scenario, Stanford will be the team getting screwed.

The Fiesta Bowl has already stated that they would like an Oklahoma vs Nebraska matchup if they can get it. It's all about the money.

I'm sure a non-aq team will get a BCS bowl bid.

Oklahoma's sick of going to the fiesta bowl. K-State would flock there.

Please explain.... Seems like a good game for Stanford.

It's all about the money. Fiesta Bowl officials already said they want a 10-2 Nebraska over a 11-1 Stanford due to the fact that Nebraska fans travel better than any fanbase in the country.

Couple that with the fact that it's Nebraska vs. Oklahoma........it's a homerun.
