remember, like you and me, LSU has a shield over there.
You know my theories ..... shields' are huge, the $8.99 is a big part of this,
since our old JV site will be joining the MB soon, at some point in '19, I guarantee it.

Did any shields' get the perma?

Honestly, not that many had shields that I recall to begin with. Plus we didn't really get into the fray for name calling directly.

exactly, but if you look at some that mysteriously Avoided the Bans, they have shields,
like you, and LSU, and some of the others. They wanted/ want to avoid banning the paying posters, who pay for the team home boards, tMBoard, and etc. That is where the $$ matters.

I guarantee with the JV purge, the shields' did factor in for why some avoided it.

eventually, since yahoo/ Rivals/ Oathe or whatever they called now continues to shift to pay boards, and having pay sites for their recruiting and college sports ....
that guy Mike Farrell - their "top recruiter" writer, blogger, etc has kind of hinted this recently,
as has some top powers-that-be on tMB,

Of course, we have been hearing this for past year or two, so who knows when, if and how long until Rivals decides to consolidate and make these changes.

It would make sense seeing a lot of posters who got banned had tons of posts and tons of likes and were very active. Maybe shit head thought we were sucker enough for that board that we'd pay to post there once we got banned.

It's a theory. One MB guy came over & said it was to transition to replacing the mods kicked out w/some MB mods, then move it into a MB "lite" then to pay.

A few years ago, they suddenly restricted to people to 1-3 posts a day max. Then blamed it on a "glitch" Oddly, the glitch is still in place.

There was some controversy at the time whether the shield holders got a pass on that restriction. Not sure we ever knew for certain.
