If this is a repeat thread, I apologize but I couldn't find another.

Paul Vernon Hornung (December 23, 1935 – November 13, 2020), nicknamed "the Golden Boy", was an American professional football player who was a Hall of Fame running back for the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League (NFL) from 1957 to 1966.

Cause of death was Dementia. Paul Hourning was 84 years old.

Paul Hornung was a strange case, he won a Heisman on a losing team and sucky stats, so...? He wasn't all that on those Packer teams , the fullback Jim Taylor the stud, so,....???

He really put his foot in it when he was asked about why Notre Dame (his school)couldn't hang with the SEC powerhouses, he said something like....."we can't recruit speed because of how hard it is to make the academics at the school".......yep. ouch!!!!!
