RIP Mickey Rooney

I was just thinking a few weeks ago about this man. He is one of the last from that era of Movies. We are to the point where nobody in any of the classic 1920-40s movies are around anymore. I remember him in the movies my grandparents used to watch.

Here's something to ponder....the first film he appeared in was during the silent era in 1929 at the age of 7....and his final film was in 2012.

Mickey Rooney was incredibly talented. When Kirk Douglas goes, an entire era is dead.

If you haven't watched National Velvet or Pete's Dragon do yourself a favor. Watch them. (Therere many other fine films he appeared in.) RIP Mr. Rooney. Enjoyed many a film of his with my Grandmother as kid.

She must look like a corpse. It's okay, Zsa Zsa. It's time.

Everyone should watch the Andy Hardy movies. I watch them and dream about living in a simpler, better time.

Not much will be said about Mickey Rooney's death (more will be said about something dumb a fuckin Kardashian did this weekend) but he was a major talent and this is a big loss.

Sad that anyone under 30 years old likely doesnt know or care he died. They don't realize that if he had died at any time before 1990, the country would have likely shut down completely.
