He faces two charges for vehicular homicide that carry a max sentence of 10 years each. He'll probably plead guilty since he already admitted to police all the elements of fact here, but a judge is not likely to go light in a very public case with very clear bad behavior that had disastrous consequences.

The judge is likely to sentence him to close to the max. I would guess 16-18 years, which means he'll probably rejoin society after 10-12 years. That may not seem like enough, but he'll leave prison an old, poor man. It will negate any accomplishments of his life, it will haunt him, and it will shame him. Nobody in this day with all the options we have available should ever drive drunk.

The judge will also suspend Tom Wilson for 12 games just because.

he will likely get driving while intoxicated and reckless driving added to the charges.

Not sure if there is a league-wide trophy you could create and put his name on. Hard to measure something like passion for the game which was his calling card. They already have the dedication to hockey and community service awards. I would not at all surprised to see the Jackets do something within the team for him.
