He passed away at 86.
Lots of people will be honoring him today....expect a good portion of the NBA show to be devoted to him....even with the game tonight. I don't think it will be a little 3-5 minute segment.Wow. Dan Patrick is talking about and having a little trouble. He knew him pretty well.
Only one of the greatest people in the history of the Association. Arguably the greatest. Period.
Not sure how accurate the portrayal was but he was my favorite character on Winning Time. And not just as a player. He was among the greatest team execs as well.
Combining championships as an active player and executive, has anyone had more championships? I think he had 11 in all.And not just as a player. He was among the greatest team execs as well.

Exactly. That’s why I referred to him as "one of the greatest people in the history of the Association”. So much more than a great player or a great front office exec. Almost impossible to quantify his greatness in those terms alone. And not just as a player. He was among the greatest team execs as well.
I think you’ve mistaken him for Bill Russell.Combining championships as an active player and executive, has anyone had more championships? I think he had 11 in all.
Oh No….the Logo?
Yeah he lived a great, long lifeRIP. Not sure of cause but if you get to 86 you aren’t getting cheated
