I loved seeing him play even though he was on the Celtics. Always a classy person. My parents parents met him once and my mom told me how nice and personable he was. Sorry he lost the battle with cancer

I never saw Walton Play more than once possibly - I started watching just about the time that Magic and Kareem carried the Lakers to the promised land two years straight and than Magic stuffed a towel in Riley's mouth to keep him from promising three in a row - Any one who knows much about basket, however knew what Bill Walton, Larry Bird and Wooden as a coach did

He died the day after the PAC-12 baseball conference championship game which was the last official PAC-12 sporting event.

Larry Scott killed the PAC-12 and Bill Walton.
