Not only that, but Sherman has to watch a lot more film. It's not like every team has one really great WR and all the rest are garbage. Sherman has to be ready for anyone out there and know what ALL of them do in their tendencies.

Hall was just being a little bitch. No other way to put it. When you have Chad Johnson come to your aid and he isn't a teammate of yours it should say something loud and clear.

Sherman tried to take the high road with Blount and Hall came in swinging taking cheap shots really for no reason. Not one of you are calling Hall out for it. Why? Because the only reason you are outraged to begin with is you already dislike Sherman so anything he is involved in is automatically his fault. Seems pretty clear to me.

And in base offenses, number 1 outside receivers line up on the right side a majority of the time, against the LCB. Of course situations force them to move them around, but if they can beat the LCB they aren't going to move them. So really, most of the time when a #1 receiver lines up away from Sherman it's because Sherman is kicking his ass, then the offense is showing their hand and the other defenders can cover accordingly.

I think a more appropriate title for this thread would be "Sports fans easily trolled by Richard Sherman".

I see more than a few villages are missing their idiots today.

Let's go to the film to see all the different ways Sherman gets it done (oh and you might notice there is no holding penalties going on).

1) Nicks tries to burn Sherman on the outside. Nope. Part of what makes him such an effective CB is he played WR in H.S. and was recruited to Stanford as WR. He knows how to put himself in position to make the catch.

2) Here he anticipates where the pass is going and puts himself into position. As he said, they spent all week analyzing Houston's film and had this play recognized as soon as they lined up.

3) Run D as well? Yep, he's useful there too. Tackles like a LB and he weighs less than 200 pounds.

Alright this is what I don't get...

Everyone here is calling Sherman selfish and a me player yet you also criticize him for not "following the #1 wr" all game

Sherman doesn't follow the #1 wr because he is playing WITHIN THE TEAM'S SCHEME. He is being the exact opposite of selfish. He is being the ultimate team player. Sherman does whatever is required of him for the team to succeed.

The Seahawks defense works and is as dominant as it is, because of the scheme and the trust that every player has for one another. Why does Sherman "need" to follow a wr and change up the scheme when the defense he plays on doesn't need him to? So he can appease to people that whine online?

You guys remember week 1 when Kap threw for like 400 yds and Boldin racked up like 200 yds. Kap was crowned a hall of famer and then week 2 Sherman followed Boldin basically the whole game and held him to one catch.

How bout them apples?

When Sherman needs to follow a wr he usually locks them down. When the team calls for him to play zone, he plays zone. When they need him in man, he plays man. When they need him to press, he will press. Football is a team sport and he plays his part just like everyone else on the defense.

So tell me...how exactly is Sherman selfish? It seems like you guys love throwing that label around without really understanding how the Seahawks defense work and who Sherman is as a person.

Sherman is a bitch. Hall said nothing to wrong in his initial statements. What he said WAS TRUE. Sherman doesn't cover the # 1 guys all game long.

To me a bitch is someone who talks a big game and doesn't back it up on the field.

I know someone right off the top of my head that talks a whole lot of shit and disappeared on the field twice against the Seahawks

Sherman talks the talk and walks the walk. If you want him to shut up then beat him on the field. Simple as that.

You must be talking about a certain fake tough guy in this pic.

I would love to see how good Sherman is without a great defense by his side. Seahawks fans are just like Sherman....Take offense to everything.

Do us a favor and grow a pair of balls.....While you're at it please grow an extra set for Sherman.

Unlike you guys I don't get offended easy. I was supposed to get offended by the post about Jimmy and follow-up picture? LMAO

How great was that defense before Sherman came here?

2010 Seahawks defense was ranked 25th overall
- On that roster was Earl Thomas, Chris Clemons, Red Bryant, Brandon Mebane, Kam Chancellor, and Walter Thurmond

2011 Seahawks defense ranked 7th overall
- Basically the same roster plus Richard Sherman and the Seahawks defense jumps from 25th to 7th.

Here's another stat. In 2011 before Sherman was placed in the starting lineup, the Seahawks defense gave up 24.4 ppg. In the games that Sherman started they gave up 17.5 ppg.

Some of you Seahawk posters are missing the point...

It doesn't matter if Sherman started the arguments or not...he responded to them.

Blount didn't call Sherman out, Sherman went out of his way to disagree. (Showing it rubbed Sherman the wrong way)

Hall called Sherman out, and he got Sherman to bite the bait.

I just don't see why Sherman cares so much...

Why do you care enough to create a thread on an open forum regarding some "tweets" between NFL players? Could it possibly be that he has done his part to shut down and personally ruin your beloved team's season?
That would explain why you care so much.

Now, do I want to start a thread about how much of a bum Aldon is? Nah, it's not important and everyone already knows...same as Sherm's situation.

In reading this thread, I get a kick out of the comments from the Saints, Frisco, Bronco, Texans, and Pats fans.
You all have something in common besides berating Sherm.

I find hilarious with all of the "Sherman does not cover #1s" crap!
Opponents are scared to throw at him (see the stats!), so they throw to the other side of the field and still get killed!
He does what he is asked to do. It works. And then people bitch about it. LOL!

This is what Hall said and Sherman took offense to it. As Hall said he does what Seattle ask him to do and he does it well. Nnamdi was the same way when he was great with the Raiders. Once he went to a different team that played a different scheme and asked him to do different things, we all realized he was overrated

Sherman's behavior seems arrogant and at times quite odd when it comes to this type of conflict but what Seattle fans have learned about his personality is that he thrives on this conflict and uses even a hint of disrespect as a driving force to push him to compete even harder.
The day that Sherman actually believes that he is the best at what he does and feels that everyone gives him nothing but respect is the day that he loses his edge. He needs this conflict. He thrives on it. He eats it up.
This comment should really be the blanket statement response from 'Hawk fans when dealing with a Sherman thread. This thread really has no merit...just a twitter war of words but it seems that all 'Hawk fans jump to the rescue when a player is involved....right or wrong.

Yes...I forgot about the 'You Mad Bro?' response by the lesser intelligent 'Hawk fans. Thanks DJ.

I agree dark, but since the OP gets to start a thread with the chosen title, shouldn't we respond with our own opinion?
